Spatiotemporal distribution of physicochemical parameters and toxic elements in Lake Pomacochas , Amazonas, Peru

Lakes are water bodies that play an essential role as sources for humanity, they provide a wide range of ecosystem services. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate Lake Pomacochas, high Andean lake in the north Peru. A variety parameters were studied, including physicochemical such temperature (T°C), dissolved oxygen (DO), potential hydrogen (pH), electrical conductivity (EC), turbidity, total solids (TDS), biochemical demand (BOD), alkalinity, and chlorides hardness; concentrations nitrates, nitrites, sulfates, ammonium; elements aluminum (Al), calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), sodium (Na), potassium (K), boron (B); well metals metalloids zinc (Zn), cadmium (Cd), copper (Cu), lead (Pb), arsenic (As). In addition, pH, Zn, Cu evaluated at sediment level. It is important note all matrix showed significant differences seasonal period depth levels. comparison, level had no between sampling points.
